Advisor to Prime Minister on National History and Literary Heritage Irfan Siddiqui on Wednesday said that Pakistan’s time tested friend China has given a beautiful gift of a chandelier (Fanoos) worth Rs. 320 millions for Mazar-e-Quaid.
He said it would be affixed at Mazar-e-Quaid in the month of August.
He stated this during his visit to concluding ceremony of three day exhibition here at Foreign Office.
He said whole nation appreciated the friendship and love of Chinese people for Pakistan adding it was grateful to China for gift of the beautiful Fanoos.
He said that Mazar-e-Quaid is the symbol of unity and national cohesion adding the decoration and care of Mazar-e-Quaid is the government’s top priority.
He said that the government is fully concentrating on Mazar-e-Quaid’s beautification and uplift.
He said Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif specially constituted a separate National History and Literary Heritage Division due to the importance of historical and cultural heritage.
He said that National History and Literary Heritage is also responsible for taking care of Mazar-e-Quaid.
The PM Advisor said land was acquired near Lok Virsa for the construction of National Museum in Islamabad adding that process for the construction is underway.
It is my desire that Prime Minister should lay the Foundation stone of the Museum project in Islamabad, he added.
He said that the Museum would be the center of culture.
It would consist of various sections including literary, educational, heritage and children.
About the three day exhibition he said that it is imperative to promote the soft image of the country through such events.
